Nowadays, the entertainment industry has been growing rapidly. People, in particular, youths are spending more and more time on various kind of media such as TV or Internet. Therefore, media has the greatest impact on the young generation more that the family or the school has. This essay will outline the role of mass media in shaping the opinions and positions of the younger generation.

First, the mass media affect teenager's fashion. Simply take a glance at the way you dress right now, it was probably something you have pick up over the internet or magazines. What we are wearing may look similar to what famous actors or singers have worn recently. And all of the things we often to is to imitate the models appear every day in fashion shows.

Second, we cannot deny that the mass media have a great contribution to shaping our ways of thinking. What we watch on TV, radio: what we read in newspaper and magazines affect ,without our awareness, a great deal to our thinking. Does what Obama, Bill Gates say on TV mean anything to you? Does what your music idols wear affect your taste of fashion? I definitely believe the answer will be "yes". When choosing what to wear, most of us have a tendency to choose what is said or shown to be fashionable by famous people.

Third, it is obvious that the mass media also play an important role in our attitude to life. Some people complained that children nowadays tend to be lazier and more violent and want to come in for a share of social's product as much as possible. This is simply the result of bad programmes shown on T.V all time, incontrollable websites and even the carelessness of parents. To be free from their children, some people allow the children to surf the webs, without noticing that there are plenty of disasters on Internet which the young have little experience to deal with. People, especially teenagers, always have an idol and they tend to follow what their idols do and say no matter these things are good or bad.

In conclusion, we have absolutely no control over the media. However, we do have the final decision on the path we choose to take. The extent of the power mass media is able to influence us only reaches this far, the rest is really still within our control.

Television, radio and newspaper become so popular to be a part of our life today. Many people claim that they have an impact on our behavior and thought. I totally agree with this idea. I believe that what I would show you below are effects of them, especially on youths.
First of all, movies on television do make us more violent, especially younger generation. The more we see violence the less sensitive we become to them. In addition, many shows seemingly praise violence. The most famous heroes are typically the most violent with their intenseness of fighting. These types of show are sending a wrong message to the youths that it would be okay to use violence as long as they gain their goals. As a result, many schools have bullying problems and lots of fights today. It is attributed to television programs and movies.
Second, modern media also affects our behavior because they make us less active. Many people prefer reading newspaper, listening to the radio or watching television to playing outside. If we do this so much, we would become unhealthy, both mentally and physically. We may imitate what acted out on television without using our imagination. Mental laziness maybe causes physical laziness. For instance, many people enjoy watching television than play it. I do not approve this behavior.
Third, however, it brings many benefits to us. It exposes us to the world with lots of information. Just with an article or a show, we could know others more clearly; hence, many former prejudices would be overcome. For example, many programs expose us to people of different races and cultures, these help to combat racial discrimination a lot.
The best influence is that they help us to reduce stress. Although television is attributed to violence but they also show positive ways to solve problems. Reading novel or listening to someone’s confidence on radio could change your point of view; even make us feel better. Sometimes we should stay away from them, sometimes they help us get through many things.
It is true that the mass media today have a great influence on us, both in positive and negative ways. However, how it affects us depends on how much, what and how we respond to what we get from them.

Topic 3: The mass media, including TV, radio, newspapers have a great influence on people and especially on the younger generation. It plays an important role in shaping the opinions and positions of the younger generation. Argue for or against this statement.

The mass media have a powerful influence in shaping our lives. We have come to depend on them for information and entertainment, and in doing so we let them affect important aspects of our lives, especially on the younger generation.

The undeniable usefulness of the media in almost instantly providing information about events over the world is largely taken for granted. But in our dependence on the telecommuting we have allowed them to mould our notions, opinions of events, places and people. Though few of us probably think about it, our conceptions of, say, our elected officials spring from television images and newspaper stories. We are similarly swayed by coverage of wars. The media, representing the values of their owners, societies and governments, tend to report wars with a bias, which is the good side and which the bad is determined for us by the reporters, editors and commentators, and sure enough the public begins to form opinions that reflect the coverage they see, hear and read in the major media.

Furthermore, the media are also effect on the way they facilitate the spread of culture and life-style. The so-called ‘global youth culture;, in which one finds young people around the world displaying a common interest in music, clothing styles and film, is an example of the media’s enormous sway in this regard. The information provided the media, will contribute a great deal to the development of our knowledge. Thanks to communication media our mind and point of view are consolidated and enriched, especially younger generation who always try to satisfy their curious.

In conclusion, the mass media plays an important role in live today inevitably. The more society is developed the more means of communication are required. Indeed, with technological advancements, there is no doubt that it has been being a critical role in our society in general and particular in younger generation.

I have heard it said that men are just as good as women at parenting. I could not disagree more with them. I believe that woman make better parents and that this is why they have greater role in raising children in most societies.
The main reason is that mothers spend more time with their children than anyone else. Social support of maternity gives women more opportunities to be with their infants. Furthermore, fathers usually sacrifice his time with family to work hard in order to afford things. This lets mothers become more familiar with their children and be aware of children’s habits. As you know, children are very curious about very things and they would find the answer from their parents. Mothers who are virtually with the children twenty-four hours a day, undoubtedly, tremendously influence their children through instructing them.
The second reason makes me feel this way is that women have characters to become better parents than men have. We could not talk about them without their carefulness. Especially when there are babies in your houses, mothers is the one who stay up late and wake up early to take care of the babies. Take me for an example, my mom always get me prepared and give me advices to keep me away from potential troubles whenever I am going on vacation. What I said above, you would hardly find from certain father.
For these reasons, I am sure that mothers make the best parents. They spend much time and know how to take good care of their children with their carefulness. Even though, I could not deny the truth that fathers are also important to children.

No one can deny the vital and fundamental role of women in raising children as a natural and principal responsibility. In many cultures, mother is a symbol of sacrifice and selflessness because of their unconditioned and inexhaustible love to their children. It is assumed that women are better nurturer than men are. However, on balance, I hold the view that both men and women are integral contribution of the children’ growth for the following reason.

In the first place, it goes without saying that parents are source of children support and guidance. If only a mother works on herself to rear children, is it true that her infant will develop in their full wing? She may be a very good mother who gives conscientious care as well as dedicated love to their children. Nevertheless, it will be better for the children who also deserve a father’s nourishment. As their children grow, fathers take on added roles of guiding their children's intellectual and social development. Even when a father is 'just playing' with his children, he is nurturing their development. For example, in one study, baby boys whose fathers engaged in physically playful, affectionate and stimulating play during infancy were more popular later as school children. Thus, both a mother and a father are important to an infant's development in special ways and their roles complement each other.

In the second place, mothers will benefit from fathers’ support. If a mother can count on her children' father to help with keeping the house clean and in good repair, caring for the children, paying the bills, and planning for the future, she probably will be a happier, more effective parent. The support a mother receives from her child's father can even help her be more competent and sensitive when feeding her baby.

Finally, today, living-cost climbs up day-by-day, so most families rely upon the incomes of both mothers and fathers. However, fathers still provide the lion's share of income. Fathers are either the sole earners or the main earners in two-thirds of two-parent households. Moreover, fathers' earnings are uniquely linked to many positive results for children, even when mothers' earnings are taken into consideration.

All things considered, I think a child who has both a mother and a father benefits from an increased richness of care. Parents, regardless of fathers or mothers, are the source of support for their children’ perfect growth.

Topic 2 _ THU ĐOÀN

The controversial topic about the role of mothers and fathers in raising children has been attracting public attention. While some people insist that men cannot make parents as well as women, others stand in stark contrast to them. From the point of view on eastern nations and differences in parenting, I fervently support the first opinion.

To begin with, characteristics of Eastern societies exert important influences on opinion about the role of mothers in bringing up children. First, traditional impressions indicate that women play a central role in taking care of children, as well as educating them. These opinions are generally accepted in these countries nowadays because not only Eastern people respect tradition, but also men are still in main earning money commitment. Second, they often think that infants and toddlers are so vulnerable that they need particular protection from parents. During childhood, they cannot but ask parents’ permission for almost everything. Despite of being more mature, they often have to follow counsels of their fussy parents. This educational way obviously makes them lack self-reliance. It explains the reason why children in these countries eventually need a person with more constant and tender loving care that seems to be heavily involved in mothers.

Moreover, there are wide differences in the way fathers and mothers raise their children. Men tend to be too permissive, but in some cases, too strict. For instance, they frequently allow children do everything they want without considering what might happen to them. They sometimes discipline children for their mistakes, but these punishments are always stricter than mothers’ are. Additionally, earning money has absorbed fathers for most of the time, so they spend little time taking care of children. That might widen the gap between father and child, and make children disobey fathers’ advices. By contrast, mothers usually display affectionate behavior, as well as use love to discipline their children. They take hours to play with the child, care for them when sick, and so on. They are attentive to what the child do, and think. These activities make children feel themselves being in care and love.

To conclude, in most of the countries, mothers are better at raising children than fathers. Therefore, all of us should have a more respectful view on them even they are only housewives, especially in male chauvinism countries.

"i'm not sure about this essay, so, I give some my opinion based on the issue rasing the child"

In recent years, the young people, espcially the minor children, had the unhealthy thinking, so the news about suicide, sexual abuse, abortion appear so much that we have to think for the younger generation’s future.
I’m thinking about the psychological aspects of Asian, who are easily influenced by their parents, and that things will lead to the information of child’s personality when it contacts to social.
I think the role of man and woman in rasing the child are equal.

The Eastern conception, character of the woman is considered such as indulgent, profound, therefore a child usually askes the mother when it should eat or drink something. Mother can share the joy and sorrow and support them to overcome difficulties.
The memories of human, the mother’s emotional depth is heaviest, because it affects the very large to the feelings of children when they behave with the people around them.

The man, I believe that the children’s growing up is due to the strict teaching of father, who always is it’s image. The man with strong character, can solve these important issues in his family, so the child can be successful if they were his father’s teaching in all fields. The child may be based on his mother’s care, but will ask his father if they have to answer to the question “right or wrong”.

I can’t affirm that “ man or woman, who is more important than?”, but the man is well built based on family happiness. A family, which has parents harmony, there is love and morality are two important things to parenting a human.

Nguyễn Xuân Tuyển, KT-KT faculty, Banking Academy

I send to everyone my essay. I hope that you can correct for me asap. Thanks a lot!

My essay:

Due to adopting East traditional views of a man earning, a woman doing homemaker and children rearing, so many people think that raising children is only women’s. Yet that is a full misconception, especially in the modern society nowadays.

First of all, the main argument in favor of my view is that a man and a woman have the same role in raising children, and a toddler is not able to grow up with lacking any the mother’s or father’s guides. It should consider the difference of character between two genders: males are usually to like be adventure, resilient, aggressive and easy to resort to violence in attempting to solve the problems, whereas females are often patient, diligent, obedient, and worried and inferiority complex… From that features, these two natures will supplement each other in child rearing. A child need be adopted the father’s braveness, maturity and the mother’s grace, care, so both are very important for a baby in childhood as well as in adulthood later.

The second, men are less to ask their children for emotional questions such as “Do you feel cold? Would do you like a drink? Like women’ questions. In stead of that they can become old toddlers to play with their children as carriers, a man is always ready to respond his children’ queries. By the way, a child will learn many useful things from the father and develop the responsibility it takes to be a good man or woman.

The third, indeed, if a little boy is less gotten in touch with the same sexier, he often tends to become womanlike. He will lack of a man’s characters and thereafter when he marries, the happiness will be fragile because of easy being bullied in day to day his life.

To sum up, while many people support for a women’s greater role in child rearing in most societies, let us not forget that men’s role is very important too. What if does a child lack of the father’s nurtures? He or she will grow up emotionally immature or unformed.

Hi all. this is my essay. Too tired to complete one :)

Most of the managers are interested in how to encourage labour’s diligence. Some people think that paying employees extra money for exceptional work is an efficient way to gain the purpose. In my opinion, this measure is not always exerting good effects.

There are several strong arguments for heartening members of staff by giving more money for exceptional work. First, one of the most important reasons for working is money. All of us must pay for daily bills, as well as have desires to enjoy luxury services. That’s why many people are willing to work over 8 hours per day to have a life more comfortable. So if managers meet their wants through using extra money as a compensation for excess time, they might exert themselves. Second, it also creates a competitive work environment. In fact, any one of us wants to manifest yourself.

Moreover, salary is a good way to express one’s position in society. So we often do our best to be big earners or feel jealous if our colleagues, friends getting over than us. In this case, we will attempt to complete our assignment. Finally, we can get as much as them at least, and administrators get their goal.

However, using money as a management tool is not always good. Firstly, we are limited by time and physical health. Evidently, a day just has 24 hours. When we spend more time working, we will have less time to relax. If we work too much in a given time, we will be stressful and tired. It must have bad effects in our productiveness in the future. In this case, the price of giving up relaxation is over the extra money we can get. So there is a little person will accept this “reward”. Secondly, hard-working originate in responsibility, love,.., not in money. Without love, we just work superficially. We rarely upgrade knowledge about jobs as well as spend hours dealing with difficulties in work. Everyday we just want to finish our assignment to get a monthly salary. In busy time, we take over 8 hours atthe office, then get extra money. In other words, there is merely formal hard-working.

In conclusion, a coin always has two sides, so does paying extra money for exceptional work. Therefore, managers should consider strong and weak points before making decisions on whether to use this measure.
There is no doubt that human resource is the most important factor for all businesses. It is, there fore, understandable why businesses are very interest in employing and training their staff. And in order to solve this problem, rewarding employees can be a good solution and it is usually used by some companies.

In the first place, people’ need is very various, and therefore money is inevitably to satisfy their demand. That is why a student, having just left from his or her university, always wants to make the best use of his or her abilities of earning when he or she is young and seeking a job of high income is a priority. In the case, paying a high salary seems a good solution for businesses to employ and keep potential talents.

However, it occurs several matters. Firstly, it makes to increase costs for businesses, with a small and medium businesses, this is very expensive. On the other hand, competition will also rise. When a company uses this method to recruit, other ones can make similar to. And this is harmful to the society because of distorting labor market and leading to unperfected competition. A company, having strong capital resource, is easy to employ extra employees, whereas others, being poorer, difficult to make this.

Also, if we consider in the long term, rewarding employees is more likely uncertainly a complete good solution. Due to, once beyond initial temptations, when the life becomes more complete, someone will expect to get much more pretensions, not easy is only high income; such as promotion, better work environment…

In conclusion, a good human manager has to know how pass inspiring down hisstaff. To want employees to try ones’ best for businesses, let start with setting up the best environment for work, making them to find that their firm is leader and here they will have the best conditions for working.

Some companies give employees extra money for their exceptional work. I do agree with this idea. I believe that this is a good way to encourage them to work hard because of following reasons.

First of all, we all know that money is the thing we cannot live without. People’s job is the main resource of income for most families. Without it, we may not be able to afford our housing, clothes, food. Firms usually pay highly for those tries. That amount of money could make your apartment more beautiful with nice things. Some may prefer normal but I would love to make my lifestyle better through doing more work.

In addition, employees could get many beneficial things from those exceptional works, especially skills. In any ways, working always adds some experiences to ours. If you have passion for yours career, you may consider each of your tasks is a chance to try something new, a chance to learn.

Furthermore, to get that extra money, you may spend a lot of time. Days still have just twenty four hours but your work increase dramatically; you should prepare time management skill if you would like to balance time with family and time at work.

Third, awards could create competition. In a company, everybody would love to get promoted or have an equal pay to colleagues simply. I would feel something jealous when someone get over me and maybe so do you. This policy could make a good environment in which people work hard to make use of this advantage.

Giving extra money for exceptional work is a good method company should have to give employees support. People should make effort to get more comfortable life, to have better skills and to find satisfaction. You should ask for this policy before making decision to enter the company you intended.

It is obvious that the basic reason for the world’s large population work is money. Without money, no one can succeed in life, in relationship and society. Everyone knows that and many companies reward their outstanding employees with cash and bonuses. However is it always the best way to motivate employees all the time? This essay will outline some reasons for and against the idea that money is a good motivator.

Let me first deal with the positive sides of money and cash incentives. For workers and employees, money motivates them to do the job effectively. Extra money stimulates employees to work harder and better. As a result, productivity is boosted considerably. Both employees and companies can benefit from that.

However, there are two sides of the same coin. Money is not always a king. Where there is a motivation, there will be a competition. Money may force employees against each other. Hence, this leads to conflict in office. Conflict can be a source of frustration, even destruction of morale. Besides that, pressure could be also arose. Working under high pressure may lessen efficiency of employees.

Opponents of money incentives also point out that there are still many other ways to reward employees without causing stressful working environment. The employers may think of creative bonuses such as offering their excellent employees flex time or giving them travel ticket, gift certificates for their good performance in a month. In addition, many companies have very good policy for taking care of their employees’ family. This will strongly inspire the loyalty of employees to companies.

In conclusion, setting money as a motivator is both good and bad. On one hand, money is really suitable motivator. On the other hand, it exposes some weakness. Therefore, the manager should consider carefully before applying that.
